There are arrangements throughout
the European Economic Area (EEA) for co-ordinating the health
care systems of the member states. The European Health Insurance card, or EHIC,
is the new replacement for the old E111. The card gives you rights
to treatment during a temporary visit. You are eligible for an
EHIC if you are ordinarily resident in the UK. |
