Situated at 2,080 metres above sea-level, the 'lodge' is located high up above Susa in Italy and Lanslebourg in France, at the top of a mountain pass connecting the two countries. Overlooking a large mountain lake, a place truly up among the peaks.
This small mountain refuge sits in it's own 'paradise' and makes for a superb base for walking in the area.

All rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. All 3 rooms make use of the common bathroom facilities; 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets and 2 showers. Accessible by car, the nearest villages on either side of the border are a 20 minute drive away. At night, there is very little ambient light making it a wonderful place to gaze upwards on a starry night. Daytime offers the possibilities to walk, swim in the lake or just immerse yourself in the pure tranquility of the high Alps.* Prices based on 2 people sharing a double room, otherwise a single supplement applies.

2. The hotels, guest houses and B&Bs presented represent
some of the more charming places to stay and are very well situated
for exploring the surrounding towns, cities and countryside -
always within easy reach of a regional airport. Having visited
virtually all hotels in each of the places presented, we believe
these hotels offer the best combination of price and quality
available.
3. FLY-TRAIN holidays: fly to the recommended airport
and take a train to the place you will be staying for your Short
Break. Airport transfer times are generally less than 1 hour
by train.
4. FLY-MEETU holidays: fly to the recommended airport
where we will meet you on your arrival at the nearest airport
or mainline railway station, and take you to your hotel either
by car or mini-bus.
5. FLY-DRIVE holidays: these short-breaks are typically
in places that are not served by regular public transport or
areas deserving further independent exploration under your own
steam. Therefore, we thoroughly recommend that you arrange car-hire
at your point of arrival in Italy, or use your own car if driving
down.
