Wander down the labyrinth of enchanting historical streets and breathe in the unique magical atmosphere of Florence where artists and culture flourished. The Bed and Breakfast takes it name from the Piazza outside, the medieval square of the Romanesque S. Martino del Vescovo church where in the middle ages workers cut the matted ends off the fleeces used in the wool making industry. Today beautiful frescoes by Antonio del Chierico can be admired in the oratory of San Martino.
Art lovers can enjoy all the artistic and monumental sites of past that lie at its doorstep. Fashion lovers can browse round the Italian designer shops nearby. Excellent traditional Tuscan food and wine can be enjoyed a short walk away.
The Bed and Breakfast is on the 2nd floor of a historic building and there is no lift. All bedrooms have private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, double glazing, safe, telephone and internet port. Some rooms can sleep up to 4 adults and have either a queen double bed or twin beds. They are tastefully furnished and the original wooden ceilings give a charming touch. Guests are offered continental breakfast, complementary tea and coffee making facilities and has a non smoking policy.
Located in the historical center of Florence between the Duomo and Signoria Square.
It’s only 10 minute walking or 5 minute by bus (electric bus line A) far from Florence main railway station (Santa Maria Novella) or by taxi. If you decide to walk, just follow the (see the red line on the map. Here are the instructions: from the main train station you walk along VIA PANZANI which becomes VIA CERRETANI and as you have reached the Cathedral ( Duomo) turn right. Now’ll be in VIA CALZAIUOLI, Florence’s “main drag”. After about three blocks, you'll find VIA DE' TAVOLINI on your left. Via de’ Tavolini is long one block, and becomes Via Dante Alighieri, our street. The AMERICAN EXPRESS AGENCY is on your left, and on its right, there is number #14 with a sign indicating the B&B.
If you decide to take the Electric Bus ‘A’ here are the instructions .When you get off your train, continue walking straight ahead through the ticketing office ( Salone Biglietteria), and outside the bus stop is on the other side of the wall in front of you. Wait at the bus stop for bus ‘A’; Dante Alighieri Street is one of the scheduled stops on the route The bus "A", makes a stop just right in front of our front door (look for the American Express Office) . Remember to buy your ticket before you get on the bus: you can buy it at the Tourist Information office or at the Snack shop in the ticketing office.
Florence airport Amerigo Vespucci is on the outskirts of town and can be reached by taxi (10-15 minute ride) or SITA bus from the railway station. We will do our best to make your stay wonderful and we will offer advice on what to see and where to eat.

1. Prices in 'euros' and based on 2 people sharing a double room,
otherwise a single supplement applies. Prices for bookings during
the winter months can be up to 20% less. Flights and transfers
not included unless specified.
2. The hotels, guest houses and B&Bs presented represent
some of the more charming places to stay and are very well situated
for exploring the surrounding towns, cities and countryside -
always within easy reach of a regional airport. Having visited
virtually all hotels in each of the places presented, we believe
these hotels offer the best combination of price and quality
available.
3. Fly-Train holidays: fly to the recommended airport
and take a train to the place you will be staying for your Short
Break. For packages with airport transfers included, please note
the following differences;
i). Airport transfer train tickets only: Transfer train tickets
are forwarded to you with your Trip Guide prior to your departure.
ii). Escorted airport transfers by train with separate luggage
transfers: After you have collected your luggage, we will meet
you at the airport arrivals hall and accompany you to your hotel
by train. Your luggage will be taken separately to your hotel,
leaving you free to travel in comfort. Escorted transfers are
only available on Short Breaks arriving and departing on Wednesdays
and Sundays, unless stated otherwise.
iii). Airport transfer times are generally less than 1 hour by
train, and are often included in the package price.
4. Fly-MeetU holidays: fly to the recommended airport
where we will meet you on your arrival and take you to your hotel
either by car or mini-bus.
5. Fly-Drive holidays: these short-breaks are typically
in places that are not served by regular public transport or
areas deserving further independent exploration under your own
steam. Therefore, we thoroughly recommend that you arrange car-hire
at your point of arrival in Italy, or use your own car if driving
down.
6. All our Short Breaks can be extended by as many days as you
wish - please ask for a quotation.
