Characteristic accommodation, typically in beautifully restored buildings with gardens, typical of the area. These places are intended for 1 or 2 week holidays for those wanting to simply 'get away' and relax or to explore a particular area of Italy. With this in mind, whether the location is countryside, mountain, seaside or lakeside, we have selected only those places where during the summer months, you have the possibility to swim on your doorstep - this may be a pool within the grounds, a beach just footsteps away or the crystal clear waters of a mountain lake or river. These are in most cases, accommodation only holidays. Places to stay can be just about anywhere so you would almost certainly need a car, whether your own or hired locally.

Fly-Drive holidays: fly to the recommended airport, hire a car, and drive to your chosen place to stay. This can then be used as a base for your own sightseeing plans in the area.

All places to stay are selected according to the folloing criteria: Comfortable journey times from the main regional cities and airports - Countryside, seaside, island, lake and mountain locations - Charming places to stay on a B&B or s/c basis - Highly recommended places where we would personally be happy to spend a whole week in, or longer.
