HOLIDAY IMPRESSIONS & DETAILS |

DAY 1: TRANSFER DAY, to the Ponente Riviera
After meeting you at the airport, we will take you to your hotel in a resort village along the Ponente Riviera. After a short briefing about your flying itineraries, you will have the rest of the day and evening free to settle in. and to enjoy an evening meal in one of the resorts many restaurants. Arrange to arrive at the airport in the morning or afternoon. You will be staying along the seafront in a very comfortable 3 star hotel, which is extremely well situated for all the flying sites we'll take you to during your stay. Most of the local sites are just 10-15 minutes away.
DAY 2: COASTAL FLYING ALONG THE LIGURIAN RIVIERA
Breakfast is followed by a short drive by 4x4 to the day's flying site just to the west of Savona. Fly over this dramatic coast to see Savona, the coasts to Genoa and an island in a marine park from the air. Launch Site: appox. 350m above sea level.

For those not flying or if unsuitable flying conditions: Guided coastal walking itinerary or a day in the nearby beach resort of Finale Ligure.
DAY 3: SOARING THE COASTAL ALPS
A day flying the coastal Alps in the Imperia area with landings onto one of the Riviera's longest sandy beach. Launch Site: appox. 500m above sea level.

For those not flying or if unsuitable flying conditions: Guided coastal mountain biking itinerary or a day in the nearby provincial capital of Savona.
DAY 4: FLYING FROM THE 'TOP OF THE WORLD'
A day flying from the region's highest coastal Alps in the Beigua National Park with soaring, thermalling and top-to-bottom possibilities - an awesome site over the Gulf of Genova. Launch Site: appox. 800m above sea level.

For those not flying or if unsuitable flying conditions: Off-road 4x4 trip to a mountain refuge in the coastal Alps or a day in the nearby seaside village of Noli.
DAY 5: BEACH-COMBING FROM THE AIR
You have the chance to fly over and between two bays along this most beautiful coast on the Ponente Riviera. Launch Site: appox. 300m above sea level.

For those not flying or if unsuitable flying conditions: Guided coastal walking itinerary or a day in the medieval town of Albenga.
DAY 6: TRANSFER DAY
We meet you at your hotel. Flying from Genoa: we take you to Genoa airport for your flight home. Flying from Pisa: we take you to the main railway station in Genoa for your onward rail journey to Pisa airport. Arrange flights back from Pisa in the afternoon for a comfortable transfer. Stay an extra night in Pisa before your flight home and enjoy a day visting the Leaning Tower and historic centre of this beautiful & relaxed city.

Extend your stay Stay an extra day or two and visit visit Milano, Genova or Pisa for a day.
This holiday is best suited for pilots with a club pilot rating plus a minimum of around 15hrs coastal flying experience. Confident and consistent reverse-launch take-offs required.

This would be a great holiday for flyers of all levels of experience, and as we were fairly low air time pilots, we appreciated Mike's advice and patience.
On non flyable days there is still lots to do, i.e. hill walking, quad biking, cycling, and a number of water sports.. or just lazing on the beach.
