the Aosta valley - fly, drive and ski to your hearts content.

beautiful and historic medieval towns. |

Holiday starts in the Aosta valley. Fly to Turin or Milan. Rent
a car and drive to the place where you'll be staying.

Duration: Short break skiing holiday (5 nights and 4 full

you will be staying in the
hotel pictured to the right, overlooking the historice city of
Aosta,
in an extremely well-appointed and charming hotel just 10 minutes
away from the ski-lifts up to the local resort of Pila. Ideally
situated for visiting the main resorts of the Aosta valley. Evenings
at your hotel or in the old town of Aosta, just 5 mins by car. |

Day 1 -
Transfer day.
45 mins by car from Turin
airport to Aosta.
2nd - & following days. Ski the Aosta valley; Cervinia,
Zermatt, Courmayeur, La Thuile, Pila. Last Day - Transfer
day. 45 minute drive by car from Aosta to Turin airport for
your return flight home. |

Day 1 - Transfer
Day
Transfer day to your 'albergo' in the Aosta Valley
where you will stay for 5 nights. For those who need to hire
skiis and other ski equipment, there is a ski shop at the bottom
of the main Pila lifts out of the valley floor. |

Day 2 - Skiing
in Pila.
A
day skiing in the local resort of Pila. Take the complimentary
ski taxi from the hotel to the ski lifts for Pila, just 5 minutes
away. Or, drive your own car if you prefer a later start. You
can hire equipment prior to taking the lift, if you need to.
Once back at the hotel, why not relax and soothe those acheing
limbs in the hotel's sauna, turkish bath and jacuzzi.
We recommend the 5 minute drive into Aosta for a greater choice
of restaurants for dinner. |

Day 3 - Cervinia/Zermatt.
Take
a leisurely 40 minute drive up the valley to Cervinia for a full
day skiing under the Matterhorn and acoss the high connecting
glaciers to Zermatt. Why not ski to Zermatt for lunch and have
that last mulled wine on the glacier, watching the colours of
the setting sun cast it's spell on the Matterhorn, before the
final ski back down to Cervinia. |

Day 4 - Skiing
in Courmayeur.
A day skiing in the fashionable Italian
resort of Courmayeur, under the imposing peaks of the Mont Blanc
Massif. Just a 20 minute drive along the vallley floor to this
most charming village and most panoramic setting under the high
Alps. |

Day 5 - La Thuile.
La
Thuile is just an easy 30 minute away from your breakfast table,
and that 2nd cup of cappuccino to start the day. From La Thuile,
you can ski over the mountains into France, and rarely out of
sight of the impressive high peaks of the Mont Blanc massif. |

Day 6 - Transfer
day.
Catch a late flight home and spend at least a
half day skiing in Pila. |
Extend your
stay: Ski Chamonix in France, Verbier in Switzerland.
Extend
your stay by 1 night and enjoy an extra day skiing under Mont
Blanc in the French resort of Chamonix.
Stay an extra night, or change one of the itineraries above for
a day skiing in Verbier.
Additional nights cost from 85 euros pppn. |
