Stay by the seaside in a hotel with pool, in this somewhat 'bohemian' cafe/restaurant area of Porto Maurizio. A few minutes walk to the beautiful and still virtually unknown historic centre of Imperia.
"…now it is the movement of the fronds of an olive tree, now that of the waves in the vast sea below now the song of a bird …"
That was how the poet M. Novaro described his western Liguria, as a tangled weave of water, stone and olive trees, which is also the same essence of Val Prino. At its mouth, watched over as in ancient times by the harsh profiles of the towers Torre Bonazza and Torre di Prarola which protected it from Saracen attacks, emerges the locality Borgo Prino, an ancient community of fishermen, with the colours of the façades of its houses impregnated with dried salt.
From here, towards the east, the superb view of the Parasio, the historical nucleus native to Porto Maurizio with its cluster of walls, buildings, streets and monasteries.
After the happy experience of the Restaurant, the Remaggi family have enriched their offering for a pleasant holiday, producing this small but comfortable 'locanda' complete with all comforts.
The following photos have been carefully taken & selected
