Capri - Arco Naturale - Faraglione - Tragara - Capri This large natural arch is set in a fine piece of pine-clad cliff scenery, with an azure sea far below. The path takes you there easily. There are some seats there for your picnic, or a well-situated bar/restaurant on the path five minutes before the arch. A very well built path takes you around the rugged south eastern cliffs, with an easy return to town along a delightfully verdant alley. On the way you encounter various points of interest: the Grotto di Matermania (a large cave with Roman remains), the Villa Malaparte, and the famous Faraglione islands - three limestone fangs rising from a blue sea (Capri's trademark when viewed from along the Amalfi coast). |
Whatever you look for in the great
outdoors, the region of Liguria in northern Italy, is a paradise
for independent walking, hiking, mountain walking, coastal walking,
and simply exploring the regions characteristic seaside towns
and fishing villages - in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Liguria, an intense flavour of Italy in one of Europe's most
unique 'sea and mountain' locations.
