This holiday offers you the possibility to visit at leisure, all the main places of interest in what is perhaps Italy's most famous, yet unspoilt coastal areas. Light and leisurely daily itineraries. Visit and explore Sorrento, the Amalfi coast and Capri - still as beautiful and as enchanting as ever. In 7 nights and 6 days, have a taste and a wonderful insight into this truly spectacular part of Italy. Each day's itinerary will start and finish at your hotel and include a combination of leisurely strolls and short boat & bus trips between places visited, along the coast next to the azure seas of the mediterranean. ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer Day.
Flying to Naples airport, try to arrive before 5pm for a comfortable transfer by coach (1h15) or by train (1h45) to Sorrento. Coach departs just outside arrivals hall and can take up to 2.5hrs in busy times. Train however, including bus from airport to railway station virtually always takes around 1h45, and service starts at around 0530 in the morning. Airport transfers by private taxi can be arranged at extra cost. Hotels: Charming 3 star hotel in the centre of Sorrento just 5 minutes from the railway/bus station, port for boats, and 2 minutes from the historic old town. View photos of where you'll be staying.

Day 2: Ravello, Atrani and Amalfi.
Self-guided itinerary to discover the beautiful Amalfi Coast. A short walk to the port of Marina Piccola where you take the boat to Amalfi. Time to wander around Amalfi before a 10 mimute bus ride up to Ravello, a splendid place overlooking the Amalfi coast towards Salerno. Bus or walk back down to Atrani and then to perhaps back to Amalfi before taking a bus ride back to Sorrento. View photos of Amalfi.

Day 3: Capo di Sorrento and Marina di Puolo.
Self-guided itinerary to discover the picturesque fishing village of Marina di Puolo and the unspoilt headland of Capo di Sorrento. A short bus ride followed by a 15 minute walk down to Marina di Puolo where you can swim, take lunch and have a wonderfully relaxed day on the beach, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Day 4: Day of Leisure.
Have a leisurely day around Sorrento with perhaps a swim and lunch in Marina Grande. Optional day trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius. Optional day trip to Naples and Herculanean. Optional scooter trip following our self-guided itinerary to explore the western coastal extremities of the Sorrento Peninsular. View photos of Sorrento.

Day 5: Positano.
Self-guided itinerary to visit Positano and the Amalfi coast. Short bus ride from Sorrento to Positano where you can spend a leisurely day in the town and on the beach. Optional trip by boat along the coast to Furido and Marina di Priano. Optional walk up along ancient muletracks to the most amazing viewpoints overlooking Positano and the Amalfi coast. Day 6: Coast & Mountains on the Island of Capri.
Self-guided itinerary to discover the famous and uniquely charming island of Capri. Short boat trip from Marina Piccola in Sorento to Marina Grande on the Island of Capri. Spend a leisurely day strolling around the port and main town of Capri overlooking the azure Mediterranean sea.
- Optional walk along the circular coastal path from Capri town passing Arco Naturale, Villa Malaparte and the Faglione islands.
- Optional trip by bus to Anacapri, situated on the mountain plateau above Capri town and port. Take a chairlift from Anacapri to Monte Solaro, the island's highest point with the most amazing panoramas of the island and Amalfi coast. View photos of Capri.

Day 7: Day of Leisure.
Have a leisurely day around Sorrento with perhaps a swim and lunch in Marina Grande. Optional day trip to the Island of Ischia. Optional scooter trip to explore the inland mountains of the Sorrento Peninsular, following our self-guided itinerary. View photos of the Sorrento Peninsular mountains.

Day 8: Transfer day.
Flying out of Naples airport, Take the coach or train from Sorrento back to Naples airport. For those with early morning flights, the train is recommended.

For those wishing to fully experience the contrasting characters of the Sorrento Peninsular;
- spend the first 3 nights in the historical village of Ravello. Take breakfast and dinner from your hotel overlooking the Amalfi coastline.
- spend the final 4 nights in the lively, yet charming resort town of Sorrento.
- the holiday schedule for the 2-centre option remains pretty much the same as that described above.

[4] The Sorrento Peninsular during July and August, is very hot and busy. Best months to visit are May, June, September, October and April - book at least 3 or more months in advance to secure the best accommodation. The winter months of November to March are generally mild and ideal for those who want to simply get away without the crowds.
