sightseeing 'mini-break' showing the true character of the Ligurian
Riviera in just a few days.
This
tour offers a beautiful way to have a real 'taste' of the Ligurian
Riviera. 2 full days visiting Levante and Ponente Riviera coastal
villages, and a full day exploring Genova - the regional capital
and the 2004 City of Culture. Primarily full-day, leisurely sightseeing
itineraries.
Description: Have a 'taste' of
the Ligurian Riviera's coastal towns and the regional capital.
You will be staying in the resort town in the picture above and
each day you'll start with a stroll to the nearby railway station,
never more than a 10 minute walk from your hotel. A short trip
along the Riviera coast by train will take you to the start of
the day's itinerary. Take the train back at the end of the day
before or after your evening meal.
Ideal: For those who'd like
a 'glimpse' of the Riviera's coastal hills and towns plus a day
strolling around the rgional capital, with a variety of self-guided
sightseeing itineraries. |

Holiday starts and ends in Genoa. Fly to Genoa, Pisa. Frequent
railway services to resort village from Pisa.
Whats Included: Airport transfers from Genoa airport
or main railway station, trip guide, travel instructions and
detailed daily itineraries, B&B in 3-Star hotel accommodation,
all train travel to and from your daily destinations.
Duration: Long weekends or mid-week breaks (4 nights &

Day 1 -
Transfer day.
We meet you and take you to your hotel.
2nd, 3rd & 4th days - full walking days. Exploring
Italy's Ligurian Rivieras using our self-guided itineraries.
Last Day - Transfer day. We collect you from your
hotel and take you to the airport for your return flight home
at whatever time you prefer. |

Day 1 - Transfer
Day. After meeting you, we take you to your hotel
in the seaside town pictured to the right. There will be a short
briefing about your holiday itineraries and time to settle before
being free to enjoy an evening meal in one of the resorts many
restaurants.Arrange to
arrive at the airport in the afternoon or evening.

Day 2 - Villages
and towns of the 'Finalese'.
Finale
Ligure,
Finalborgo and Noli. Easy going sightseeing
itinerary visiting some of Liguria's most beautiful and unspoilt
coast. Ancient fortified towns, traditional fishing communities
and architectural influences from north Africa - plenty of time
for visiting the Ponente Riviera towns of Finale Ligure, Finalborgo and Noli.
Start the day with a train trip (0h45) to the charming and lively
seaside resort of Finale Ligure Marina. Lunch in Finale followed by
a gentle afternoon stroll around the medieval walled town of
Finalborgo - listed amongst the most beautiful medieval
towns in Italy. Late afternoon bus (0h20) back along the coast
to the old fortified seaside village of Noli. Time for a stroll around and perhaps an early
dinner before catching the train back (0h30) to your hotel. |

light and leisurely, independent
self-guided itinerary. The 'light' itinerary is to Finale only
and the visits to Finalborgo and Noli are optional on the day
- do as little or as much as you wish. |
Day 3 - A Day
in the regional Capital.
Old port, aquarium, historic centre, shopping. Genova old town, a
boat trip around the old port, the impressive aquarium and perhaps a funicular railway trip up the
'righi'. Train trip into Genoa takes just 35 minutes. For those visiting during
the summer months, take the boat along the coast to Genoa and pass through much of the port on the way.
Full or half-day, light
and leisurely, independent self-guided itinerary. The 'light'
itinerary is to the old port of Genoa only - visits to the aquarium,
old town, shopping streets and up the funicular railway are optional
on the day. |

Day 4 - The
Towns 'under' the High Riviera Alps.
Celle, Varazze & Cogoleto. Easy going sightseeing
itinerary visiting Cogoleto, Varazze & Celle.
Start the day with a train trip (0h15) to the picturesque and
'sleepy' Ponente Riviera seaside village of Celle. Lunch in Celle and then a 5 minute train trip
back along the coast to the more vibrant town of Varazze. Hop
on the train again when ready and pop back to your hotel for
a 'nap'. Evening stroll and dinner in Cogoleto recommended, just 5 mins away on the train. |

light and leisurely, independent
self-guided itinerary. The 'light' itinerary is to Celle only
and the visits to Varazze and Cogoleto are optional on the day
- do as little or as much as you wish. |
Day 5 - Portofino and the National Park.
Portofino, Santa Margherita, Camogli & San Fruttuoso. Easy going sightseeing itinerary in
and around the Levante Riviera towns of Camogli, San Fruttuoso (summer season only), Portofino & Santa Margherita.
Start the day with a train trip (0h35) to the beautiful and quite
unique fishing village of Camogli. During the Spring, Summer and Autumn, it is
possible to take the boat to San Fruttuoso for lunch, and then on again by boat
to Portofino. Otherwise, take a 5 minute train journey to Santa
Margherita for a stroll around this chic seaside resort before
taking a boat or bus (0h10) to Portofino for lunch and the whole afternoon. Bus or boat
back to Santa Margherita for |

Day 6 Transfer day.
We meet you at your hotel.
Flying from Genoa: we take you to Genoa airport for your
flight home.
Flying from Pisa: we take you to the main railway station
in Genoa for your onward rail journey to Pisa airport. Arrange
flights back from Pisa in the afternoon for a comfortable transfer.
Stay an extra night in Pisa before your flight home and enjoy a day visting
the Leaning Tower and historic centre of this beautiful &
relaxed city. |

Stay an extra
