Day 1: 24th December, transfer Day.
Fly to Genoa or Pisa airport. Convenient railway services to resort village from Pisa and Genoa airports. Airport transfers from Genoa (1h30) and Pisa (2h15). Arrange to arrive at the airport no later than mid-afternoon. Christmas Eve Dinner, Italian style at the hotel. View photos of your resort village.
Day 2: 25th December, Christman Day.
The morning free to relax. Christmas Day Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon free to do as you please or, take a light & leisurely, self-guided trip around and the resort town where you are staying. Dinner at the hotel. View photos of this Levante Riviera resort.
Day 3: 26th December, Boxing Day.
Free day to do as you please or, take a light & leisurely, self-guided visit to Genoa, and see the historic centre, the port and perhaps even the impressive aquarium or, take a light & leisurely, self-guided trip to Camogli. Dinner at the hotel. View photos of Camogli.
Day 4: 27th December.
Take a light & leisurely, self-guided trip to Santa Margherita and Portofino or, have a free day to do as you please. Dinner at the hotel.

Spend Christmas and possibly the New Year too on Italy's beautiful and mild Ligurian Riviera. Enjoy a relaxing week just pottering around or walk as many of our self-guided itineraries as you wish, to discover better the Italian Riviera. Daytime temperatures during the winter rarely drop below 12 degrees C, with 14/16 degree maximums possible even on New Year's day - under a blue sky and a winter sun, it is not so uncommon to see 'odd' people taking a swim. Ideal christmas break for those who'd like to get away to somewhere different for the festivities, to relax but have the possibility to better explore the Levante Riviera and resort towns should they wish. Leisurely strolls around coastal towns or full-day, moderately paced walking tours. Extend your stay You need not be especially fit nor used to regular walking for the visits to Liguria's seaside resorts, which are typically leisurely strolls around the resort centre and promenade.
For those wishing to do some of our full and half-day self-guided walking itineraries, a reasonable level of fitness is required and you should at least be fairly used to regular walking.
All of the daily itineraries above are suggestions and can be changed with any of our itineraries described in Italian Riviera Walks & Italian Riviera Towns.

5. by-TRAIN holidays: fly to the recommended airport

Break. Airport transfer times are generally less than 1 hour

6. FLY-MEETU holidays: fly to the recommended airport
where we will meet you on your arrival at the nearest airport
or mainline railway station, and take you to your hotel either
by car or mini-bus.
7. SELF-DRIVE holidays: these short-breaks are typically
in places that are not served by regular public transport or
areas deserving further independent exploration under your own
steam. Therefore, we thoroughly recommend that you arrange car-hire
at your point of arrival in Italy, or use your own car if driving
down.
