ADDITIONAL INFO: Independent 'ITALIAN SEASIDE' holidays
Since this resort village is on the steep slopes of these high coastal mountains, just before they enter the sea, the beach is stony. However, the hotel has a beautiful pool in the grounds amongst the palms, just in from the beach. This seaside holiday is well suited to those who want to stay by the sea, and perhaps visit Genoa (just 20 minutes away) and explore more of the seaside villages along this rugged and very picturesque stretch of the Ligurian coast.

We suggest the following as things to do during your stay;
- A day in the sandy beach resort of Varazze just 10 minutes away by train.
- A day in Genoa for shopping and the historic port with restaurants and cafes.
- During summer months, we thoroughly recommend a full day boat trip along the coast to Portofino where you'll have half a day to relax and swim before taking the boat back.
- A full day cycle ride along the coast following the old railway line.
NOTE:
1. These places to stay represent some of the best places to stay for their excellent balance between price and quality, and are very well situated for exploring the surrounding towns, villages and countryside.
